The blanks produced by RHEINFELDEN SEMIS GmbH & Co. KG represent a well-developed product with high market acceptance and excellent processing properties. The production process is continuously refined to enhance material and energy efficiency as well as productivity. Furthermore, in collaboration with customers, developments are being pursued to adapt the properties of the blanks to increasing demands. In recent years, the focus of blank development has been on adjusting the microstructure and metal purity to meet the requirements of changing forming conditions in the production of shaped cans and embossing applications. Currently, in cooperation with the technical departments of our customers, tailored alloys and production technologies are being developed. The goal is to manufacture aesthetically, functionally, and safety-wise sophisticated packaging solutions in a process-secure, economical, and sustainable manner while continuously reducing material usage. Additionally, processes are being developed to enable the use of secondary raw materials (PIR and PCR) in the production process of blanks while maintaining consistently high quality standards. This contributes significantly to resource conservation.
